Tea blended with flowers and spices have a rich tradition in Taiwan, with osmanthus being one of the favorites. This particular blend done by a young female farmer has already won her a local award in Yilan. She adds a hint of star anise to the blend, which contributes to a more nuanced depth of the drink. The brewed tea is harmonious and rounded, a perfect summer drink!
Star anise as well as osmanthus have been used in Taiwanese cuisine for generations and are a local staple. We reccommend longer steeping times for this tea to allow the flowers and spice to mix well with the tea flavors. Enjoy :)
