About the event
(This event will be hosted in Vilnius, Lithuania) Discover Taiwan’s newest tea category, Orange Tea (臺灣橙茶), in a focused 45-minute degustation and workshop suitable for all experience levels. Named for its glowing amber liquor rather than added orange flavor, Orange Tea blends the subtle delicacy of white tea, the aromatic intensity of oolong, and the smooth body of black tea. Participants will learn about the breakthrough heavy-withering process developed by Taiwan’s Tea and Beverage Crop Research and Extension Station (TBRETS) before diving into a comparative Gaiwan tasting. The flight highlights two distinct terroirs: a competition-grade Sanxia "White Beauty" (白美人) featuring wild orange blossom and gardenia notes, alongside a high-altitude Lishan Orange Tea grown above 2,000 meters that displays rich pine, maple, and ripe stone fruit aromas.
